Interlibrary Loan Fee
To cover the cost of processing and notification of requesting materials outside of the library system there is a fee of $0.25 per item requested.
Videotapes, DVDs, CDs, and Audio Books Returned in the Book Drop
Due to the damage that can be caused to the disks and cassettes the Library requests that all disks and cassettes be returned in person at the desk, for each item returned in the book drop located at the front of the building the Library place an additional $1.00 fee on your account.
Card Registration and Replacement
New Patron’s 1st Card
The library requests a donation of $2.00 from patrons six years of age or older for their first library card.
The library increases the fee of the card an additional $1.00 per card
Example: 1st Replacement Card: $3.00, 2nd Replacement Card: $4.00, etc.
Public Access Computer (PAC) Usage
The Hornell Public Library has 7 computers located upstairs, 2 computers located downstairs for public access limited to a 30 minute time period. Downstairs also has a computer dedicated to job searching and related web-based portals as well as a children’s early education computer dedicated.
* NOTE: The Library requires that any and all patrons requesting use of the public computers have their library cards on their person with no overdue materials or fines required and a signed Internet Agreement Policy on their profile.
The Library also has wireless access available to the public, for the required security credentials for the wireless network please see staff, upon each connecting to the wireless connection a browser window will open with a prompt requesting the user adheres to the user agreement.
