Story-Time & Tour of the Post Office

 

Come to the Hornell Post Office for a tour and story time with our amazing postal workers. Kids will get to see the behind-the-scenes of what goes on at the post office and listen to a story from our awesome community helpers. Call the library at 607-324-1210 to sign up today!

Wildlife Rockstars

 

Join us at the New Hope Community Center for a special program by Wildlife Rockstars. The Wildlife Rockstars program is a wildlife education outreach group run by Bridges for Brain Injury program members. As part of their rehabilitation, members are trained in the handling and care of live native and exotic animals, birds, reptiles, and more! Bring your family to learn from these community helpers about the importance of respecting wildlife and conservation education.

VA Operation SAVE Presentation

VA S.A.V.E. Training will help you act with care and compassion if you encounter a Veteran who is in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts. The acronym S.A.V.E. helps you remember the important steps involved in suicide prevention:

S-Signs of suicidal thinking should be recognized
A-Ask the most important question of all — “Are you thinking of killing yourself?”
V-Validate the Veteran’s experience

E Encourage treatment and Expedite getting help
